Terms of Use

Mamori · Last updated 11 June 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Mamori application ("Mamori," "the app," "we," "us"). By downloading or using Mamori, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

What Mamori is

Mamori is a self-directed content-blocking tool designed to help adults reduce their access to adult and pornographic material, including Japanese adult content. It is intended for personal use by individuals aged 17 or older.

No guarantee of complete blocking

No content blocker can block everything. Mamori reduces access to adult content but cannot guarantee that every site, image, or service will be blocked.

The internet changes constantly. New sites appear, existing sites move, and methods to bypass filtering exist. Mamori works hard to catch adult content, including content other blockers miss, but you accept that no filtering tool is perfect and that some material may still get through. Mamori is provided as a tool to assist you, not as a guarantee of a content-free experience.

You also acknowledge that, like every content blocker on iPhone, Mamori can ultimately be disabled or removed through the device's own Screen Time controls, which are controlled by Apple and your device settings, not by us. For the strongest protection, we recommend setting a Screen Time passcode held by someone you trust.

Subscriptions and payment

Mamori offers auto-renewable subscriptions and a one-time lifetime purchase. The following applies to subscriptions:

Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store terms; we do not process payments directly and cannot issue refunds ourselves.

Acceptable use

You agree to use Mamori only for its intended personal purpose. You agree not to attempt to misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with the app except to the extent permitted by law.

The app is provided "as is"

Mamori is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will block all unwanted content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

Apple's standard terms

Your use of Mamori is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula. Where these Terms and Apple's standard terms differ, the more protective terms for the user apply to the extent required.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
