Short answer: Open Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions, turn it on, then App Store, Media, Web, & Games > Web Content. Choose Limit Adult Websites, and under Never Allow tap Add Website to block a specific site. Set a Screen Time passcode someone else keeps, or you can undo it yourself in a few taps.
The steps below follow Apple's own iPhone User Guide, which uses the same menu names in iOS 18 and iOS 26.
Apple says this blocks specific websites by URL. To remove a site later, go back to the same list. These Screen Time menus work on iPad too.
Apple's pages do not say whether Private Browsing in Safari is covered, so do not assume either way.
Apple's iOS 27 parental controls guide describes a stricter option called Approved Websites Only (reached from Filtering, under Websites), which lets only sites you approve open. It works well for a child or for a very narrow use, but makes the web hard to use for most adults.
Without a passcode, Content & Privacy Restrictions can be turned off in two taps. To create one, go to Settings > Screen Time, scroll down and tap Lock Screen Time Settings, then enter a four-digit passcode twice. Pick a code that someone you trust keeps, such as a partner, friend, or family member. Apple also offers Screen Time Passcode Recovery with your Apple Account, which lets you reset the passcode yourself, so think about whether to set it up if someone else is meant to hold the code.
How do I block porn on iPad?
The same steps work: Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > App Store, Media, Web, & Games > Web Content > Limit Adult Websites.
Can I block explicit content on iPhone?
Yes, the Web Content menu above covers adult websites. Apple's guide says App Store, Media, Web, & Games is also where you set content ratings and other restrictions for the App Store and media.
Everything above works without any app. Mamori is one more layer on iPhone, not a cure.
For a child's phone, use Screen Time as the base layer, since Mamori is built for adults who want to block it for themselves. There is a 7-day free trial on the monthly and annual plans, plus a one-time lifetime option. No account, no tracking.
